From the bazaars of Kabul to your floor
Al Safi Rug House is a family business. Our family picks every piece by hand in the carpet bazaars of Afghanistan — flipping through the stacks, checking the knots, turning each rug over — and we list only the pieces we would put in our own homes.
Every rug here is one of a kind. It isn't waiting to be manufactured; it already exists, hand-knotted in wool, sitting in a trusted partner shop in Kabul. When you order, that exact piece is rolled, packed, photographed, and handed to the courier — shipped straight from Afghanistan to your door, insured and tracked.
Afghan carpets are among the last truly hand-knotted rugs in the world, woven in traditions passed down for generations — Ersari, Baluch, Khal Mohammadi, kilim. Each pattern means something, and with every rug we send, we tell you its story: where it was woven and what the design carries.
Our promise
Honest descriptions, always: real daylight photos, a video of the exact piece — front, back, and pile close-up — and plain words about size, age, and condition. A 2–5 week delivery window stated openly on every listing, because the journey from Kabul is part of what you're buying.
